How do I start the free trial?
The annual plan includes a 14-day free trial. In the app, open the AI Coach tab (or go to More and tap the subscription card), choose Annual, tap Start your 14-day free trial, and confirm with your Apple ID. A monthly plan is also available. Prices are always shown live from the App Store for your region, so what you see is what you'll pay.
What do I get with the subscription — and what's free?
Most of Strathlon works as part of the app: your training plan, phases, timers, nutrition targets, supplement guidance, tracker, charts and Apple Health sync. The AI Coach features are the premium tier — daily Q&A, personalised AI meal plans, photo calorie & macro estimation, and progress analysis.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Your subscription is handled by Apple, so it's cancelled through Apple — not inside Strathlon. The quickest way: in the app, go to More → Manage Subscription, which opens Apple's native subscription screen.
You can also cancel directly through Apple at any time:
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
- Select Strathlon, then Cancel Subscription.
Your subscription auto-renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. When you cancel, you keep access until the current period runs out.
I subscribed but the AI Coach is still locked.
Tap Restore Purchases on the subscription screen, and make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you subscribed with. This also restores access on a new device or after reinstalling.
How does the AI coach work?
The AI Coach knows your profile, goals, sports and today's targets, so its answers are tailored to you. You can ask questions, request a full-day meal plan, log food from a description, or analyse a meal from a photo. To do this, the relevant text and any food photo are sent securely to our AI provider (Anthropic's Claude, via a Cloudflare proxy we operate) to generate the response. There's a generous daily message allowance of 25 messages per day, which resets each day. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail on what's sent.
My photo calorie/macro estimate looks off.
Add a short description of the dish before tapping Analyse (e.g. "Sri Lankan beef curry with coconut milk") — it dramatically improves accuracy for mixed or homemade meals. Remember, all photo and description results are estimates you can edit before adding them to your tracker.
Apple Health isn't syncing.
Check you granted access: iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Strathlon. Strathlon only ever reads from Health — it never writes to it — and uses that data on your device to personalise your plan.
Can I change my goals, sports or schedule later?
Yes — everything from setup lives in the More tab and can be edited any time. You can even reset and redo onboarding; your tracking data is preserved and a backup is created automatically.
