The Strathlon Promise
What we stand for — and what we'll never do. Most fitness apps quietly make money by selling you things: supplements, affiliate products, "recommended" gear. When the advice and the sales come from the same pocket, the advice can't be fully trusted. Strathlon is built differently. Here's our promise.
Evidence over hype
Every recommendation is grounded in what the science actually supports — not fads, not fat-burning-zone myths, not 30-day miracles. When the honest answer is boring — eat enough protein, sleep, stay consistent — we'll say so anyway. And if something doesn't work, we'll tell you it doesn't.
Our advice is never for sale
We earn our money in one place: your subscription. So we have no reason to steer you toward a supplement or a product — we succeed only when you do.
That doesn't mean we'll never work with anyone. If we ever recommend a service or partner with a brand — a meal-planning service that saves you time, or a protein that genuinely helps you hit your targets — it will only ever be because it actually helps you reach your goal, and we'll tell you plainly that it's a partnership. What we will never do is dress a paid placement up as neutral advice, or push something that doesn't work because someone paid us to.
We'd rather under-promise
Our calorie and energy-burn estimates are deliberately conservative. We'd rather you get real results than flattering numbers that quietly stall your progress.
Your data is yours
No account needed, no sign-up. Your data lives on your device, and you choose what Strathlon reads from and writes to Apple Health. When you use the AI coach, what you type and the context it needs to answer about your plan are sent to our AI provider to generate that answer — and nowhere else.
Your progress photos are never uploaded to us, never sent to the AI and never in any export, unless you turn on the optional AI physique insight — and if you choose to switch on photo sync, they go to your own private iCloud, never to a Strathlon server.
